Anonymous asked: Advice to girls going through recruitment: The recruitment at my school has 4 days of parties, then bid day. On the 2nd day (first day of cuts), I was cut from 5/7 houses, and I was heartbroken. My favorite houses cut me, and I was left with 2 houses that I still had stereotyped in my head from what I had heard around campus. I still stuck it out, despite being so upset with what had happened. It turns out, the one house that I thought I would never fit into became the best fitting house I could ever ask for. You need to remember, houses not inviting you back isn't a personal attack or means that the girls don't like you, but that they feel that you could fit in better with another house. Being cut from all of those houses was the best favor they could have ever given me, because I don't think I would have ever given my current house the chance that it deserved. Stick it out, no matter how stressful it is!
